the coming evening

the sun sets over the isis river. i wish i was there. it's a whole other universe, and a wholly different life.

a thought

a thought: who buys these items, and why? that top mammy looks suspiciously new. very questionable.

(all at the canton flea market)

what-a-melon

two pictures that smack of summer. notice the three bees buzzing around the top of the flowering vine. it's cool what you'll find if you just look closely enough!

canton, texas

i spent most of july 4th at the canton "first monday" flea market. walked about 6 miles around thousands of booths. it's just amazing what some people collect:

antique tools,

medicore fiction,

date nails (i got two, one from 1910 and one from 1926),

light switch covers,

and poultry.

there will be more on the finds of the day later - there were many. it was absolutely one of the most interesting things, ever.

summer eating

a fresh summer meal.

ground beef with fresh cilantro, parsley, onions, garlic, red bell peppers, tomatoes, and banana peppers. skim milk. vanilla pudding with mango. yum.
