inspiration from the cotswolds

i think there is something so lovely and deep about old stone. it has absorbed so much history. it knows so much.

flowers and pears from william morris' home in the cotswolds. ripe to bursting and naturally exploding with amazing colors!

how fabulous is this chair in original william morris fabric? i love that the arms are upholstered.

sweetly embroided by Morris himself for the be he and his wife shared. "Maids of honour, you do bring in the spring and wait upon her welcome."

I am book editor at a craft book publisher based in Adelaide Australia (www.countrybumpkin.com.au) We are currently working on a book by Adeliade quilter Michele Hill, called 'William Morris in Applique'.
Michele draws inspiration for many of her quilts from original Willim Morris designs are we are hoping to illustrate the book with images of original pieces. You can view Michele's work on www.michelehill.com.au
This photo is of the beautiful 'maids of honour' would be fabulous to include and I am writing to ask your permission to include the image in the publication. Photos used will be properly credited and we will also ensure that you receive a copy of the book on publication. The book will be available worlwide.
If you will allow us to use the photo, I will need you to send me the original image file.

I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes
